About 6,000-7,000 years ago, South American farmers discoverd the potato beneath soil high up in the Andes Mountains. Since then, potatoes have been found in the ruins of the Inca and surrounding tribes. The potato reached it popularity in Europe when expeditions to the Americas discovered this "golden treasure".

did you guys read the part where i said "first one to get them both wins!" you could have done that! besides he got a third correct answer as well! he used the cog (no one said that), used xXincognitoXx's saw, and used the comb from earl. there is not a rule that says you cant combine peoples answers to win. you guys put one right answer or one that was right and one that was wrong. darkbluemullet said a saw and a zip (meaning zipper) where do you think those came from huh? your right, xXincognitoXx and earl, but your not freaking out about him! just because he said "Well, the first thing that actually came to mind was a zipper.
