So, I was reading threads, and whenever I see Alucard's posts, I keep wondering if he chose 'Alucard' because he liked Castlevania, or Hellsing, or... i think some old story or movie first established the name as an alias of Dracula.
And then I started wondering about what the frig a 'spookspoon' is (especially when I stopped misreading it as "sporkspoon").

So yeah. That's what I want to know: How'd you choose your username? Mine's easy to guess. Earl's my actual name (ain't I creative?).

  2. darkbluemullet says:

Well Blue is my favourite colour so the blue part cam from that. I tried to come up with a funny name that I would use on the net and I thought of mullets (don't ask cos I don't know) so it was bluemullet. I just added the dark.....well I don't know why lol????? So ---- DarkBlueMullet was born. :)

  3. Earl says:

That's actually a pretty neat explanation. :) Very 'piecewise'.

  4. tman140 says:

  5. ethanrule3 says:

I got mine because I was signing up for Kongregate a year ago and I typed in ethan, and one of the suggestions was ethanrule3, so I took it. Then it became simple to just use it for everything (kong, armor games, newgrounds, gmail, and of course ClickShake).

  6. jeltevl says:

    Mine name is very simpel.

At first jelte that is mij firstname.
and vl stand for the rest of mij name.

  7. xXincognitoXx says:

Mine was born when my friends and I entered an octathalon at my summer camp. One of my friends wanted " the poptarts" to be our name and the other wanted "incognito" (sounds cool and relates to ninjas). So we compromised and became the incognito poptarts. When I became a member at this site I was going to use that but it just looked too long, so I dropped the poptart and put cool xX's around it.

    Cool Forum idea Earl.

  8. Darkroot says:

Mine is born my futile attempt to remain anonymous on the internet. I just ask my friends if they have any suggestions lately thought I can't think of a new one and the last one I got was so good I decided to keep it for when I start making flash games.

  9. xXincognitoXx says:

So EARL...how did you get your name?
    ----------------
Edit: I realized that this is a dumb question.

There is a girl in one of my favorite animes Azumanga Daiho called Osakachan, she is the best :D. A lot of people tell me that my character is a bit like hers. So my first wow-char gets called Osakachan, I get really used to it beeing called like this and now like to use it for my accounts games etc.
Sometimes peope call me Osakchen which is the German minimisation of it.

  19. Earl says:

Well. I do have one I use for a couple other sites.
My girlfriend (often 'Ashles' as a nickname and online) kept playing this online game called Kingdom of Loathing. It's... uh... you should probably just look it up if you're curious. (It has classes like "Turtle Tamer", "Pastamancer", and "Accordion Thief", to give you an idea)
Somewhat curious as to what was taking up so much of her time, I decided to sign up. However, so she wouldn't know I was a member, I picked a SUPER-CLEVER SECRET IDENTITY: StalkingOfAshles.
Somehow, she saw through it. Clever, ain't she? :D

  20. tman140 says:

    secret identity fail

  21. xXincognitoXx says:

    Yes, yes it was

I love philosophy and science of space, so entropy is a pretty cool concept and neat sounding word to me. Also, the idea that despite entropy there are pockets of extreme complexity/structure like here on Earth is interesting, even though there is still a net loss of energy from the sun burning in our solar system. Also, I wonder if entropy is permanent or if that's just the current state of the universe, and if ultimately the universe will begin to collapse on itself again.

Anyway, entropy is frequently taken as username on sites so I needed to make it longer. I toyed around with EntropicalIsland which is kinda silly, but decided on the oxymoron EntropicOrder. It's not necessarily an oxymoron though when you think about the order on Earth despite the entropic system as mentioned above.

  23. sparkycs says:

Mine is cause when i was just training as a Apple Computer Engineer i accidentally blew up a few units so the nickname Sparky started. The CS is my initials

  24. Earl says:

There's something I need to post sometime Steve. I'd be curious as to your opinion (someone remind me if I don't start a thread soon).

Heh. I could see blowing up a unit... If you did it more than once, I think the nickname might be well-deserved. :)
Of course, I've done my share of stupid things as well, electrically speaking. I still remember when I was showing a class how to use a multimeter. I plugged it into the AC outlet. And, yes, it was set to AC voltage. But the multimeter had three plugs for the probes, rather than the typical two. And one was in the wrong one...
uh, yeah... I'm surprised/shocked that I didn't kill the multimeter, but I did trip the breaker and, um, melt the end of the probe a wee bit.

  25. spookspoon says:

wow btw I got my name cuz when I was gonna eat cereal (Pops) I grabbed my spoon and my brother spooked me. :P

  26. tman140 says:

    lol

  27. xXincognitoXx says:

Continuing off the dumb electric related stunts,
I got talked into grabing an electrical fence :)
notice I said "grabing", this is because I didn't just poke the fence, I gripped it for a few seconds ( 2 seconds but trust me that is more than enough).
    IT REALLY HURT!

  28. SteveCastro says:

Ha, incognito, I've done that with my friend. It was a goat fence that sends a pulse around every couple seconds. Makes your wrist and forearm twitch and feeling tingly for a while. :)

  29. xXincognitoXx says:

The one I touched was one for HORSES, one big continuous electric field, yeah not fun. It was off a dare from one of my friends.

  30. spookspoon says:

hey that reminds ma a joke about ducks :P it goes like this......what did a duck say to another duck?..............................................................
    ..................................................................................
    ..................................................................................
    ..................................................................quack!
