Did Jay get back? Was it inspiring? Any new screenshots risen from the trip? Just curious. :/

  2. jeltevl says:

hmm i think he is eaten by the visitor. :P

  3. JayZiebarth says:

Yes I did, I'm currently going through my video footage to post about it. Stay tuned!

  4. darkbluemullet says:

He he. Looking forward to it!

  5. spookspoon says:

so what was it like? sadly Ive never gone camping D:

  6. jeltevl says:

and i think it is not smart too do so.
For you know it you are camping during a meteorite storm.

  7. spookspoon says:

oh that reminds me I have to watch SURVIORMAN on the TV :D

  8. JayZiebarth says:

I'll be posting a new video about my trip every day this week on zeebarf.com. For whatever reason the video doesn't show up on the clickshake page so you'll have to go to zeebarf to watch it.

  9. spookspoon says:

hmm... I wonder what wiskey with iced tea tastes like. :D

  10. JayZiebarth says:

Like the tears of an angel.

Jay, they vids are great. Really made me chuckle. Vid 4 was my fav so far. Word of advice... chill out and stay off the sugar. Seriously.

No matter how quick the game(s) get finished, there will always be someone who will moan about wanting it quicker. Quality is what matters. This game will be the benchmark of CSG and needs to remembered for the quality, not how quickly the backgrounds were designed and coded.

On a side note, Your blog is screaming out for a background similar to the one on this site or maybe one that advertises Ballads?

On another side note, your videos were a bit like watching a man's slow demise into "The Bad Place". As I said, chill out. :)

  12. JayZiebarth says:

Don't worry, those vids were done two weeks ago. I'm back now, eating healthy and chilling out.

And yes, I agree, my site needs some Ballads ads. I'll be doing that soon.

  13. darkbluemullet says:

Good good. Also, one other point (Iv'e mentioned this before so forgive me), I just paid £2.50 for Angry Birds through the store on my PS3. I don't know how much work would be involved or if there are legal issues or anything but getting the Reemus games onto the PS3 and 360 would generate so much publicity (and ahem, £$£$) I can't even tell you! I think, Ballads as a stand alone game at £0.99 or $0.99 (or whatever the rate is?) or, the complete series of the previous Reemus games thus far would go down a storm. I imagine it would be a helluva lot of hard work to get these onto consoles but I would love to see them on there. Shift ( http://www.kongregate.com/games/ArmorGames/shift?acomplete=shift ) is on there too, although it's called Shift:Extension, it is just Shift.

If it is possible then it is feasible, as it would take CSG into a whole strataspere.

Just my opinion/idea but after paying for Angry Birds, I thought the Reemus games are so much better in every sense of the word.

  14. jeltevl says:

so long the games don't come only for xbox I agree.

(this is because I don't have a xbox)

  15. JayZiebarth says:

Once Ballads is out we'll probably start to explore all the other platform options.

Angry Birds is a bit of phenom though, its hard to compare to that. Its highly addictive and appeals even to non-gamers, where my stuff is fairly niche. I'd still like to get Reemus on mobile phones though, I also think it would be pretty cool on the iPad. We'll see how this PC version does first though.

  16. darkbluemullet says:

Ok, good point. Just want to see Reemus do well and in turn CSG.

  17. spookspoon says:

hey I thought you said the videos cant be seen here.

  18. JayZiebarth says:

They couldn't at first, but Steve worked his magic on it and now they can.

  19. spookspoon says:

hmm... so he is a robot right?

  20. chompers626 says:

So is there a guesstimated release date for the full game? I know it takes alot of time and effort to put into these things, but your almost 2 months past your original release time

  21. ophius says:

Oh yeees please, a guesstimated date....

  22. SteveCastro says:

We will announce when the game's art is 100% soon, which will be a major milestone and will put us in a good spot to give a realistic release time frame.

  23. Zaigo says:

Are there clickshake rewards in ballads?

  24. darkbluemullet says:

Steve, don't worry about it. As I have always said, it's not about getting the game out as quick as possible, it's getting a game out that's well made and enjoyable.

  25. dominate330 says:

Lolz even big game development studios totally f up their estimated release dates sometimes by years even *knock on wood*.
