The reason it took so long was because you have to find figures that are the same length. I initially had dashes and capital X's but, although they were recorded the same size when making it under the post window, when it was posted they returned to their actual size( the dashes were half the size of the X's). So I actually had to remake it it with different figures. You should've seen the origional you couldn't even read it. About 20 min. of it was finding two figures of the same length that that are also differnet enough to show the difference between light and dark. I had to fully remake this thing about 5 times until I found the right figures.
The best way to describe what I am saying is to type random figures and notice that the size distorts a little after it is posted (shorter,longer,more closer together).
Sorry for the long explanation but I wanted to get my point across. I think it was time well spent!
Heh. Or you could have simply said that it took you a while to find characters that give you the same effect as a monospaced font. :D
(On a side note: you could have saved yourself the time of recreating with different characters by simply using 'replace all' in any good text editor)

Actually how do you do that "replace all" thing cause I would really like to know how to do that because I had to re-type the entire thing so many times.
Well, it depends on your editor.
For example, I use SciTE (the scintilla text editor). It's wonderful for both plaintext editing and also writing code. Heck, if you have command-line compilers on your computer, there's a decent chance that SciTE can find them to compile your code directly without even being told where to look (eg. on my netbook, it can compile and run java, compile LaTeX, and run python, with no special settings).
Other people prefer things like Notepad++. I'm sure it's great, but can't say I really use it.
Either way, the 'replace' is often bundled with the search feature, or very close to it.
For example, in regular windows notepad, click Edit...->Replace... (right under 'Find')
Once it's up, just enter the character/word you want to change, and what you want to have instead of it, and then click "Replace all".
For SciTE, it's a little different. The other nice thing about SciTE is that it allows "escaped" characters (eg. you can replace newline characters, tabs, etc).
Of you're using Word, just do Ctrl + F, click the replace tab, and enter what you want to replace.

Jay is the main artist round here. I dabble in art but am not nearly as good as Jay so I stick with programming mostly.
