Hello Beewyka here and on My birthday I want to get Black Ops and it will be the first war game I will ever play (one of my friends plyed war games ever since he was 2 so that is 8 or 9 years of war games for him.
Dude, COD is rated M. It's so violent your parents actually have to show their ID to prove their older than 17 in order to buy it. Your chances of getting it are minscule.
You really think his parents will look younger than 17?? Doubtful. Also, you don't need ID to buy online.... It's not that violent tbh. I completed it after a few hours. No worse than other games.
@darkbluemullet He is just trying to justify his point and yes they can and do ask for ID if they want to I've seen it multiple times.
Also yes it's violent and I should know I've play it from the original. It also has deviated from history into anti-nationalistic sentiments. You might be desensitized to the amount of violence in modern day games but it's greater than it was before.
But that's not the worst part. When he enters the online games with people he will be exposed to a bunch of teen/tween and immature adults that will spam profanities and have racists and _____ tags or whatever they can edit and abuse. When people think they are anonymous of the internet it's really the worst. I would put a 20+ rating on the internet on the whole, I just jk but i'm serious on the harm it can do to a young child.

Look dude, Im 17 and I have played my share of rated M games... COD:BO is one of the most violent. Well, it's not the violence, it's the language and real dark story for campain. I've gotten Platinum trophy for it and I think you should probably be at least 14 to play it.
That said, I have to point out that there are A LOT of kids under my suggested age who play COD. I can't stop you.
As for your friend, AGE 2.... sorry but that's sad that he was subjected to such violence at the AGE OF 2.
I remember its prestige addition or hardened edition but for Christmas we got the normal edition :(
I'm getting the Map pack when it comes out on February 11, 2011 (for PS3).
Oh.... the map pack came out March 3rd, but who cares I got it the day it came out and its April 20th. Oh and I stopped playing Black ops for awile and now I'm playing Modern Warfare 2, Medal of Honor (Newest one and the limited edition which includes Medal of Honer Frontline(stuck on first level and I don't think it has checkpoints). and I beat the games campaign (not Frontline)I also beat Black ops campaign (beat a super duper long time ago). But I played one match in zombies today (lost connection because my other computer has a stupid virus on it and my dad won't try to fix it untill the weekend)! Oh and I'm starting to get back to Black Ops (maybe).
you mean you are stuck on the first level of medal of honer frontline? but its so easy! you just have to hear what your chief says.

I got Escalation Map pack 2 days after it came out for PS3. Call of the Dead is awsome!!!
my bro told me how to get by the mines but I never played frontline again though.
TODAY I GOT THE ANNIHALATION MAP PACK (August 3 2011) AND I PLAYED ALL THE MULTIPLAYER MAPS (except for Silo) AND PLAYED THE NEW ZOMBIES MAP (ha 4 people in a group got to second room found mystery box and died in the small area)
Wow I got Ressurection map pack and its a blast. for my birthday I always get to go to the store and get stuff till my $100 run out. I mostly get video games. and im going to get world at war for PC and use my ps3 controller so I can download custom fanmade zombie maps on customcod.com so I can play Nacht Der Untoten 2 which looks epic from the videos! (the PS3 controller is so I can play without needing to check the controls).
