What would suggest of these 3 choices?

    Skyrim
    Saints Row III
Dead Island & Rage (same price for both as one of the others)

I know Skyrim is meant to be awesome but I wondered about the others?

I'm not sure what you mean by "what would suggest." I've beaten Skyrim and SR3, but Dead Island and Rage are not that great. Dead Island is like a bad mix of L4D and Skyrim, and Rage is just a bad version of Fallout and Half Life. If you like GTA, you'll like SR3, and if you like Fallout, Elder Scrolls, or non-shooting first person games, you'll like Skyrim.

Edit: not sure why this posted twice. ignore this post

The only one I've played is Saints Row the Third, but I love it!
I Will admit that it doesn't really live up to SR2, but it has great humour, interesting characters (Keeping most of their personalites from SR2) and a decent storyline. If you can get over the differences between it and SR2, you'll probably enjoy it, but if you can't.....Don't get it.

Something to keep in mind: Skyrim is epic, amazing, engrossing, aaand... very very buggy.

If you can accept that: Skyrim.
    If not: Saints Row

Hmmm, I think Skrrim might win. Looks amazing but I'm just worried about it getting repetitive. Thanks for the advice.

  7. Earl says:

In a sense, it does get repetitive. But only after a hundred or so hours.
(On a side note, the main questline is pretty short, but even after well over a hundred hours, I haven't beaten it yet, just because there are sooo many different things to do. :) )

Incidentally, serpent, you do realize that the idea of referrals is primarily to actually, like, refer people, right? I mean, yeah, several have used the forums for it, but spamming every thread you find isn't really conducive to friendly dialog. If instead you were to share the link with your friends/family, then you might have a better chance at getting the game and help Clickshake get some free publicity. :)

You are really selling it to me Earl. I think I will go for it. Incidentally, have you played Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning? I have the demo and I loved every second of it! What console are you on Earl?

  9. Earl says:

PS3, 3DS, and, uh, Linux. (That totally counts, right?)

  10. darkbluemullet says:

Linux, lol. What's your PSN ID? Or I can e-mail you mine if you prefer? If not it's fine.

  11. ethanrule3 says:

    Mine's ethanrule3 (big surprise, I know). What's your guys's?

  12. Earl says:

To be honest, I'm not sure I remember mine (it isn't like I have to type it in or anything), but if you email me, dbm, then I can tell you on the weekend. (it's actually the gf's ps3, so only available during weekend visits)

Totally for got to say. I went for Skyrim in the end....... wow. May be the greatest game I have ever played? An incredible poetic work of art. I have had it for about 5 days and I have so far reached level 12, joined the college, took down 2 dragons, etc and I feel like I have completed about 2% of the game. So glad I decided to get this as I was on the fence as I normally can't see past CoD when it comes to console gaming. I now see what all the fuss is about.
